New Tech Tip: Slipstreamed Driver Installation of SBS 2003
After getting really stuck installing Windows SBS2003 on a machine with a RAID controller not supported by the setup discs, I decided to figure out how to burn my own install CD with the required driver files. I figured I was going to have to muck with config files and build it "by hand", but I ended up finding some software which completely took care of the process - it was wonderful.
So I wrote up the whole process in another one of my Tech Tips in the hopes that it will encourage others to make a go of it. It's an easy process - try it!

We got our new PowerEdge servers last week and have been waiting for Microsoft to send me the SBS2003R2 in the latest Action pack release. It finally came today
Ripped open the box, ran into the server room and "Uh, Oh!". Cannot find the hard drive. These Dell 2950's come with a Server Installation Disk and allows you to preload Windows Server 2000 or 2003, but not SBS 2003. How crappy is that?
No drivers, no floppy, no patience. Thankfully, I found your site. nLite is awesome. I didn't have to pre-copy the files to a directory, it did it for me. Only difference with mine is that my copy of SBS2003 came on DVD. Had to create CD1 from a directory on the DVD. I also had to edit the txtsetup.sif file in the I386 folder and change the 'SetupSourcePath' to show the root directory \ instead of the DVD default of \cd1\
Otherwise, the OS loaded fine
Again, thanks a bunch

Ok been trying to load SBS 2003 R2 onto a new server using a USB Floppy without success. I came across your posting and as I read it I thought to myself “This guy is trying to sell this nlite product” and doubted that it could/would work as stated in your post.
I could have not been more wrong, this worked perfectly!
