Rooting around our archives we have found the old TCP/IP installation set: one disk for the NI driver and six disks for the IP stack itself. These are marked:
Enhanced TCP/IP Win*/3B Interface Release 3.0.1
and
10base5 Network Interface Driver, Release 1.1 (c) 1987 105422836
TCP/IP requires the "NI" card -- CM195A -- plus an external AUI (via 15-pin connector), but we do not remember the process of installing this software beyond remembering that you need the NI driver installed first. You also must have the Ethernet AUI attached before you boot the system or the NI card diagnostics will fail. It doesn't have to be connected into a hub, but the AUI must be attached.
Each of these is a literal image of the floppy disk -- 720kbytes -- and can be recreated with the command:
# dd if=tcp.1-6 of=/dev/rdiskette bs=9b
How you get this software onto the machine in question is a good one.
